Meet Our August Member of the Month: Nat!

Every time Nat attends a class, she gives it her all—always pushing herself and showing us just what she's capable of. Petite yet strong and fast, Nat consistently impresses us with her dedication.

We love sharing our members' unique stories, and Nat's journey with us is no exception. Take a moment to read about her inspiring experience!

Q: How long have you been a member at Proficient?
A: about a year I think...

Q: What is your favourite thing about being a Proficient athlete?
A: that it's so inclusive and everyone is approachable

Q: How would you describe the community at Proficient? 
A: As I said above, approachable and inclusive. The friendliness of the coaches and members makes it easy to come back. The workouts are accommodating and achievable for all levels.

Q: What advice do you have for someone who is intimidated by group fitness?
A: Crossfit Proficient is a great place to start, it's very accommodating. The body is intended to move, you feel great for it and doing it. Doing it in a group is encouraging and inspiring to have people around you.

Q: Favourite music to sweat to?
A: Rage Against the Machine, System of a Down

Q: Least favourite music to sweat to?
A: Taylor Swift 

Q: Favourite movement/workout?
A: heavy dumbbells and burpees 

Q: Least favourite movement/workout?
A: Air bike, those calories just don't move for the effort I put it ! 

Q: Is there a member of the Proficient Community that inspires and motivates you to be better? 
A: everyone is inspiring, I like seeing new people unlock new skills and inspired by people that push themselves past their mental and physical abilities. Anyone that's older than me, maintaining their physical abilities, never stop moving - I hope to be like them, always moving the body and keeping mobile.

A: myself - be consistent 

Q: Favourite post-workout meal?
A:  strong coffee

Q: What fitness-related goals do you have for 2024?
A: learn new skills and get stronger
