Meet our September member of the month, Trudy! She is one of our fun, loving and hardworking members at our gym. If you are training in a Noon session with her, you will have a ball! We asked her about her journey so far at CrossFit Proficient and this is what she had to say.

Q: How long have you been a member at Proficient?
A: I have been a member of CrossFit Proficient for 5 and a half years now.

Q: What is your favourite thing about being a Proficient athlete?
A: My favourite thing about being a Proficient athlete would have to be the fun I have during my time there. (Even though I do occassionally bitch) 

Q: How would you describe the community at Proficient? 
A:  The Community at CrossFit Proficient would be summed up as fucking fabulous hence why I have been a member for 5 and a half years.

Q: What advice do you have for someone who is intimidated by group fitness?
A: Advice to anyone new to group fitness...........just do it .......we all started somewhere ...............and it's so much fun to share in the suffering together. 

Q: Favourite music to sweat to?
A:  Favourite Music to sweat to would have to be anything by Duran Duran or Motley Crue & I don't have a least favourite. 

Q: Favourite movement/workout?
A: My favourite movement would have to Deadlifts.

Q: Least favourite movement/workout?
A:  My least favourite would have to Overhead Squats and fucking lunges!!!!!

Q: Is there a member of the Proficient Community that inspires and motivates you to be better?
 A:  Chris Michael is one hell of an inspiration to anyone in the CrossFit Proficient community.

Q: Is there a member of the Proficient community that needs to know you are coming for them? Feel free to put them on notice!
A: The only person I want to put on notice is myself..........to be better than I was yesterday.......Bitch!!

Q: Favourite post-workout meal?
A:  Favourite post workout meal would be a tuna, egg + cheese sandwich. 

Q: What fitness-related goals do you have for 2022?
A: My goal for the rest of 2022 would have to be to get 100kg Deadlift by Christmas

Q: Describe your athletic abilities in five words or less.
A: Slow, steady, strong (ish), sweary, very sweary  hahaha...

Q: What’s your background story outside of Proficient? 
A:  Outside of CrossFit I work at a Snack Bar (mornings only) and I Love Test Match Cricket & My Scotsman.
